Mike Clayton was invited on the Hudson Voice Technique London Master Class and gives his review of the course on his blog. This is the first installment. I will post the other shortly.
He goes into quite some detail, so it’s worth reading!
Thank you Mike!
Scott Larson, voice actor-producer at SalChris Productions USA giving his thoughts on the Hudson Voice Technique course. Thanks Scott!
Hi Everyone,
The seminar at the City Business Library was packed; sadly they had to turn people away.
There was a great deal of interest from the 20 people who attended.
I asked them if they thought they spoke too fast and 18 put their hand up.
I was very pleased with their honesty.
I have since been asked to address the British Chinese Accountancy Association (BCAA).
Now, which dialect shall I use?
Cheers,
Steve

On Wednesday 14th September, at 13:00 I will be holding a seminar about the Hudson Voice Technique.
It’s free, but places a limited.
Follow the link above and book a seat. I look forward to seeing you there!
Cheers,
Steve
A testimonial video by Sue Scrivener, JP.
She completed the Hudson Voice Technique earlier this year and explains here why this technique is so important to lawyers.
Now here’s a perfect example of companies training their staff in product knowledge, but fail to see the importance of their communication skills. Unless they know how to really communicate—and connect—with their customers, they won’t be able to achieve the results you want from your business.
Having worked for Xerox and 3M company in Washington DC and London, I have sat in front of many trainers. Sadly, many of them didn’t have anything new to say.
The Law Society accredited the Hudson Voice Technique because they saw the value of it.
“…the Hudson Voice Technique is an excellent way to learn how to use and control the voice more effectively, and that the skills acquired can be adapted for various purposes useful for solicitors; advocacy, presentations, public speaking generally, also for more effectively presenting an argument in a meeting or a negotiation, not to mention anyone who might want to set up a sideline in voiceovers…” S. Brown, assessor
The Law Society set standards for their accreditation, so why can’t there be industry standards for verbal communication training?
It seems that anyone can call themselves a trainer, but they don’t teach a specific technique for verbal communication.
Voice Master International is looking for more licensed partners and it’s not easy to find the right one. Having an industry standard would make it easier.
Here’s a line from The Polar Express.
‘On Xmas eve, many years ago, I lay quietly in my bed’.
95% of people on our course take 4 seconds to read this line.
The correct time is 8 secs. Try it again but without gaps between words.
By the end of the course you will be able to read it in 10-20 secs.
Sorry, no gaps between words.
20 secs is too slow but remember this is a voice test. You have to control your voice like a musical instrument.
You already own the musical instrument, your voice, now you have to learn to play it professionally.
The Hudson Voice Technique is not just to qualify you to record voice overs. It will give you confidence at job and promotion interviews by slowing you down. Nothing is more irritating than listening to some one who talks too fast.
Cheers
Steve
Hi everyone,
Here’s a letter we received yesterday. It’s so nice to hear how much our customers appreciate the Hudson Voice Technique.
‘Hi Steve,Thanks for your message. I’m really enjoying myself!
I’m convinced there’s already some surprising improvements, and the more I’m practising, the more I’m noticing. This is likely to be one of the best investments I ever make, even in terms of my personal development.
Thank you both very much, its proving invaluable.’Steve B
